The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach
High above Honolulu, on the 37th and 38th floors of a 38-story tower, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach buildout brought six ultra-luxury residences to life through refined materials, exacting details, and carefully coordinated interior glazing.
Coalition Glass provided design-assist, fabrication and installation services for key interior glazing elements throughout the 17,543-square-foot buildout, supporting the project team with the precision required for a high-end residential environment where every detail remained visible.
Scope & Technical Execution
Coalition delivered more than 3,000 square feet of interior glazing, including 1,242 square feet of custom glass handrails, 1,500 square feet of frameless shower doors, 38 precision-installed bathroom mirrors, and 220 square feet of bronze lobby mirrors.
The custom handrails were among the project’s most technically demanding elements. Integrated directly into steel stair treads without a traditional shoe, the system required advanced modeling, careful coordination with structural and architectural teams, and precise fabrication to align the glass with the surrounding steelwork and finished interior details.
Premium Interior Finishes
The scope incorporated a curated mix of specialty glass and mirror products selected for clarity, texture and finish quality. Materials included acid-etched, low-iron and bronze mirrors from GlasPro, imported Italian acid-etched glass, and hardware from Frameless Hardware Company.
These materials supported the project’s refined interior aesthetic while requiring careful handling, sequencing and installation to preserve the quality expected in an ultra-luxury residential setting.
Coordinated for Island Delivery
Working on an island jobsite required disciplined planning. Long lead times, limited opportunities for replacement materials, and tight high-rise logistics meant that each piece needed to be coordinated, fabricated, delivered, and installed with accuracy.
Coalition maintained a consistent, highly skilled crew throughout the project, coordinating closely with Layton, Guerin Glass Architects, Baldridge & Associates, and the broader project team to resolve details and maintain installation progress across the penthouse units.
