At Allegiant Stadium, even targeted building system upgrades require careful coordination with the venue’s highly engineered enclosure. The Boiler Flue project relocated existing boiler flue vents while preserving the performance, warranty coverage, and visual continuity of the stadium’s exterior envelope.

Because Allegiant Stadium was originally delivered by Enclos, Coalition was uniquely positioned to complete the retrofit while maintaining warranty coverage on the existing facade system. The project required a solution that could improve mechanical system performance without compromising the integrity or appearance of one of Las Vegas’ most recognizable venues.

Scope & Technical Execution

Coalition provided design-assist services, custom fabrication, and installation support for the boiler flue relocation. The scope included shifting the existing boiler flue vents two bays north, integrating a custom steel-cladded structure, and replacing rainscreen panels at the new vent locations to maintain weather protection and visual continuity.

The custom steel structure was designed to house the new penetrations while blending into the existing stadium architecture. Coalition coordinated closely with engineers to ensure the assembly addressed structural requirements, material compatibility, and long-term exposure to corrosive exhaust gases.

Built Around Existing Conditions

The retrofit required precise coordination with the stadium’s original envelope system and existing structural conditions. GPRS scanning was used to locate reinforcing steel before drilling, helping to protect the structure’s integrity during installation.

Forklift pockets were integrated into the custom steel design to streamline handling and placement in the field. Rainscreen panel modifications were coordinated to support proper integration at the vent locations while preserving the clean visual language of the surrounding facade.

Performance Without Disruption

Completed in 2024, the Allegiant Stadium Boiler Flue project demonstrates Coalition Glass’s ability to execute precise retrofit work on complex, high-performance buildings. Through design-assist coordination, custom detailing, and careful field execution, Coalition helped improve mechanical functionality while preserving the appearance and warranty continuity of Allegiant Stadium’s enclosure.
